Bovine virus diarrhoea-mucosal disease: prevalence, epizootiology and control measures in the USSR.

چکیده
Bovine virus diarrhoea-mucosal disease was described for the first time in the USSR in 1967. The disease occurs in 20 to 80% of farms, depending on geographic and climatic zones of the country. Control measures against the disease include quarantine restrictions and prevention by means of specific preparations of active and passive effect. Passive prophylaxis is conducted by aerosol methods for groups and individuals.

Prevalence of Bovine Viral Diarrhoea Virus antibodies and antigen among the aborted cows in industrial dairy cattle herds in Mashhad area of Iran
The measurement of antibody responses of animals exposed to BVDV either through a natural exposure or an immunization protocol is still a standard procedure. For BVDV, the test formats have been largely limited to ELISA which is a valuable diagnostic test to measure the level of BVDV specific antibodies as well as antigen in blood samples. In the present study, 120 blood samples were collected ...

In order to investigate the prevalence of infection with bovine viral diarrhoea virus(BVDV) of cattle in Ahvaz, blood samples were collected from jugular vein of 572 cattle(521 female, 51 male) from industrial and nonindustrial farms. Sera were stored at -20?C while waiting for analysis. The sera were tested by ELISA, using a commercial ELISA kit for detection of specific antibody to bov...
متن کاملCurrent situation of bovine virus diarrhoea-mucosal disease (BVD-MD) virus infections and their antigenic diversity in Hokkaido, Japan.
The current situation of bovine virus diarrhoea-mucosal disease (BVD-MD) virus infections is briefly reviewed, with special reference to problems arising from fetal infection in the Hokkaido district, a northern island of Japan. The results of some investigations on BVD-MD virus carried out in Japan are also described. Although bovine congenital anomalies caused by BVD-MD virus and mucosal dise...

As part of the preparatory phase of a disease control programme in three herds infected with bovine virus diarrhoea-mucosal disease (BVD-MD) virus (demonstrated by virus isolation), initial serological screening was performed on all livestock older than six months (351 animals) by blocking enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) using a monoclonal antibody recognising a common epitope to the ...
